The final quality performance of the carrier tape depends on the quality management of the entire life cycle from production to use. Firstly, the mold management during the production process. PI carrier tapes may experience physical performance changes in humid environments, such as becoming brittle or losing elasticity. Therefore, professional carrier tape manufacturers will strictly control the warehouse environment within a temperature range of 25 ± 5 degrees Celsius and a relative humidity of no more than 40% to ensure that the carrier tapes remain in optimal condition during storage.
 
Compatibility testing is another key aspect of quality control. Different brands and models of surface mount machines have slight differences in the spacing between index holes and pocket size of the carrier tape. For example, a certain model of carrier tape works well on Panasonic's surface mount machine, but when switched to ASM or Fuji equipment, material retrieval may fail due to the 0.003mm difference in index hole spacing. This requires carrier tape manufacturers to conduct specialized adaptation testing for different equipment models to ensure compatibility with mainstream surface mount equipment.
 
The material ratio is also an important factor affecting quality, for example, the addition ratio of anti-static agents directly affects the surface resistance value of the carrier tape. Accurate formula control is needed to ensure that the standard range of 10 ^ 6 to 10 ^ 9 ohms is achieved. The frequency and method of mold maintenance also affect the long-term production stability of the carrier tape.
 
The quality control of the entire chain, from raw material selection to production process, to final product testing, every link must strictly follow the standards, because although the carrier tape is only an auxiliary material in the electronic packaging process, it directly affects whether valuable electronic components can safely and reliably reach the production line, ultimately affecting the product quality and reliability of the entire electronic equipment.
