Roller mill is an important equipment in the production and testing process of semiconductor carrier tapes, mainly used for conveying, guiding, and tension control of carrier tapes. Its core function is to ensure that the carrier maintains a stable path during high-speed movement, avoiding offset, wrinkling, or breakage, thereby ensuring the reliability of subsequent processing or testing.
Roller mills are usually composed of rollers supported by multiple precision bearings, using anti-static materials or coatings to reduce friction damage to the carrier. The tension control system adjusts the roller speed through servo motors or magnetic powder brakes to ensure that the carrier maintains a constant tension between different processes. Some high-end rolling mills are also equipped with vacuum adsorption function, which is used to fix ultra-thin or variable shaped load belts to prevent displacement due to airflow or vibration.
In the detection process, the accuracy of the rolling mill directly affects the imaging quality of the optical system. If the carrier path is unstable, it may cause the detection camera to be unable to accurately capture defects. Therefore, modern rolling mills generally adopt high rigidity structures and dynamic balance designs to reduce vibration interference during operation. In the future, rolling mills will further integrate intelligent sensing technology to achieve adaptive tension regulation and fault warning, improving overall production efficiency and yield.
